The most venomous land snake is a native of Channel country, Queensland, Australia named Paradamansia microlepidotus (The inland taipan orOxyuranus microlepidotus). It is about two meters in length.
The Indian (Naja naja) is found from Caspian across south Asia, South of the Himalaya to southern China and Philippines and south to Bali in Indonesia. It is regarded as being one of the most dangerous snakes and death has been recorded as little as 15 minutes after the bites.
