The Natal Indian Congress an organization that was made to fight against the discrimination against Indians in South Africa conducted a meeting. The meeting that has presence of its founder and present honorary father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi witnessed sever criticism of Gandhi and resignation of its secretaries, M. C. Anglia and Dada Osman in the year 1913.
In the year 2003 the mother of the nation Mother Teresa - an Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary was was beatified by Pope John Paul II. The event was flooded with people from all corners of the society when Mother Teresa was declared, 'blessed'. People often refer to her as saint thanks to her social service done to uplift poor.
